José Fernandez, former CEO of Digitas LBI, joins Dentsu Aegis Network

José (48) has built a recognized experience in the digital world. After several years spent on the advertiser side, he contributed between 2000 and 2009 to the launch and development of Citobi (Actito), the leading CRM and Marketing Automation agency in Belgium (also present in France and The Netherlands). He then joined LBi as Client Service Director and Strategy Director until 2013, before being appointed CEO following the acquisition of LBi by Publicis Groupe, which led to the creation of Digitas LBi, whose commercial success is recognized.
José joins Dentsu Aegis Network as Chief Commercial Officer, a newly created function, with the objective on the one hand to reinforce the commercial and strategic dynamics of the agency, in a transversal way and with a clear intention to integrate the various brands and expertises of the group. And on the other hand, with his 20 years of background in the digital world, José also has the mission to accelerate the digitization at all levels of the agency and to develop the offer of services, in close collaboration with the Management in place.

José Fernandez in a few key dates
José Fernandez graduated as a commercial engineer at ICHEC Brussels (ingéco 1991).
He has been active on the Belgian digital scene for 20 years.
From 2000 to 2009, he contributed to the launch and development of Citobi (Actito) business, a leading CRM and Marketing Automation agency, present on the Belgian, French and Dutch markets.
He then joined LBi as Client Services Director, Client Partner and Strategy Director between 2009 and 2013.
In 2013, he was appointed CEO of Digitas LBi Belgium, following the acquisition of the LBi network by Publicis Groupe.
Under his direction, the agency has been profoundly transformed, with the development of centers of expertise in content, social media and CRM. He has also redefined the Agency's historical technological expertise (applications and platforms development).
This has led, amongst other things, to winning international customers such as Nissan Benelux, Thalys and Ingenico and to the strengthening of the commercial relationship with existing customers such as Proximus, SNCB or The National Lottery. José also worked on the financial reorganization of the agency.
Besides that, José Fernandez is a professor at the ICHEC Brussels Management School and an active member of the ACC - Digital Expert Center.
